Death Occurred Wednesday at His Home There at Age of 79 Years
T. B. Houston, a well known St. Charles resident, died at his home there last Wednesday, Jan. 6 at the age of 79 years.
Mr. Houston was born in Clarke county on Nov. 17, 1880, a son of Franklin and Susan Houston. But he had lived practically all his life in the St. Charles community. He engaged in farming most of his life.
He was a member of the Masonic lodge at St. Charles, receiving a 5-year certificate in 1958, and was also affiliated with Eastern Star there.
Nearest surviving relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Archer of St. Charles and Mrs. Audrey Pendarvis of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Friday from the St. Charles Church of Christ, conducted by the Rev. Marlin Lowe. Burial was made in the Field cemetery in Clarke county.
