Funeral services for Raymond D. Cameron of Winterset who was killed Tuesday of last week in a train-truck accident near Cumming were held last Thursday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home here. The Rev. W. P. Gordon pastor of the Winterset United Presbyterian church, conducted the rites. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery, with American Legion rites.

Mr. Cameron was the son of Charles L. and Nellie M. Cameron and was born at Winterset on Feb. 1, 1918. He attended rural school at Beerbower, and completed his education in the public schools of Winterset.

He was married April 27, 1941 to Margaret E. Tyer of Winterset. They lived here until December 1942, when he was called to service in the U.S. army. During the war he served three years and two months in the army, most of that time with a tank destroyer unit. He was discharged last February. Since then he had been employed by the Armour Creamery here.

He is survived by his wife; his parents of Macksburg; a brother, Richard Cameron; three sisters, Mrs. Ora K. Blair and Janet and Annabelle at home; and his aged grandmother, Mrs. Lon Nelson.
