Wilma Irene Hope, 78, of St. Charles died July 2, 1996 at Winterset Care Center North of a heart ailment. Services are today (July 3, 1996) at Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles with Pastor Doug Helton officiating. Burial will be at the St. Charles Cemetery.
She was born in Grand River on Sept. 4, 1918, to Orval (Hendrickson) and Merle Smith. She married Eldon Hope on Feb. 25, 1939 in Bethany, Mo. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and a grandson.
Surviving relatives include a son, Jack and wife Kay of St. Charles; four brothers, Lowell Hendrickson of Winterset, Dale Hendrickson of Aurelia, Francis Hendrickson of St. Charles and Rolla Hendrickson of Des Moines; five sisters, Ilene Hay of Truro, Inez Green of Springfield, Mo., Doris Legg of Des Moines, Edith Kerns of Murray and Lois Mason of Des Moines; and five great-grandchildren.
