Nettie Leona Rustan of rural St. Charles died Monday, October 8, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Services were held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, at Collins Funeral Home with burial at Union Chapel, Rev. Robert Cumings of Spencer officiated.
The daughter of Simon Elmer and Alma Saner Logadon, she was born March 3, 1922, in Almitz, Iowa. On September 12, 1936, she married Gyle Rustan in Princeton, Missouri.
Mrs. Rustan had been a resident of Madison County for the past 23 years. She was a charter member of the Madison County Rockhounds.
Survivors include her husband; a son Ronald LeRoy, and daughter Shirley Louise Brown, both of Peru; two sisters Rosetta Rustan of Des Moines and Letha Freeman of Carthage, Missouri; and four grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two children Willard Eugene and Terry Gailen, one brother and one sister.
