Grace Hope Dies At Age 85

Grace Elizabeth Hope, 85, died last Monday at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She came to Madison County in 1918 from Kansas and lived here until 1955, when she moved to Des Moines.

Mrs. Hope was born in Gibbon, Nebraska on November 25, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Bordon. She was married to William Claude Hope March 27, 1907 in Republican City, Nebraska.

Mrs. Hope is survived by eight children; Irene McCollom of Davenport, Gertrude Mapes of Earlham, Helen Tolly of Des Moines, Harold Hope of Albany, Oregon, Dorothy Knight, Leland Hope and Ralph Hope all of Winterset and 21 grandchildren.
