Eldon Hope, St. Charles

Eldon Clyde Hope, 80, of St. Charles, died of cancer on July 3, 1994 at the Winterset Care Center North. Funeral services were today, July 6, 1994 at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles. The Pastor Doug Helton of St. Charles officiated with burial at the St. Charles Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 9, 1914 near Peru to Charles Samuel and Maude (Kieffer) Hope. He married Wilma Irene Hendrickson in Bethany, Mo. on Feb. 25, 1939. He retired as a state employee for Surplus Property and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; two brothers; and one grandson.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one son, Jack Hope and wife Kay of St. Charles; one sister, Violet Eagan of Prole; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
