MRS. CHARLES HOPE OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Was Resident of Madison County Since Marriage in 1893

Mrs. Charles Hope, a long time resident of the St. Charles community, died Sunday, Dec. 12 at the age of 74 years.

Mrs. Hope had lived near St. Charles since her marriage to Charles Hope in 1893. She was native of Missouri, where she was born near Kansas City on Nov. 29, 1874.

Mrs. Hope was the mother of 10 children, two sons having preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband; eight children, Mrs. Jessie Kay and Mrs. Violet Eagan of Patterson, Mrs. Ruth McMasters of San Bernardino, Calif., Raymond Hope of Winterset, Mrs. Grace Nichols and Mrs. Fern Rockey of Peru, and Kenneth and Eldon Hope of St. Charles; 17 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Kale Funeral home at Truro Dec. 14, in charge of the Rev. A. R. Weed of Tingley. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
