C. Dwight Holtz, Winterset

Funeral services for Clarence Dwight Holtz, 85, were held August 6 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. John Shaull officiating. Mr. Holtz died on August 3, 1992 at Des Moines General Hospital.

He was born in Yankton County, S.D. on March 29, 1907, the son of George A. Holtz and Olive Melinda (Sparks) Holtz. He married Hanna Marie Juel on December 24, 1934 at Tyndell, S.D. He moved from Crofton, Neb. to Winterset in 1955. He was retired from farming.

Mr. Holtz was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving relatives include his wife; three sons, David Holtz of Fairport, N.Y., Dean Holtz of Fairfield, Ohio, and Jim Holtz of Des Moines; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetic Association.
