ALMYRA NICHOLSON Dies At 90 Years

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Clark-Wilson Funeral home for Eunice Almyra Nicholson, a long-time resident of the Macksburg community.

Mrs. Nicholson died Monday morning, Aug. 10, 1970, at Horton Nursing home. She was 90 years of age.

A daughter of George F. and Rachel Jeffers Weeks, she was born Jan. 13, 1880 in Monroe township. She spent her lifetime in Madison county, with the exception of three years in Wisconsin.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian church.

She was married to Jacob Pope in 1904. He died in 1922.

In 1934 she married Alexander Cooke Nicholson in Wisconsin. His death occurred in 1948.

She was also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Roxie Weeks Clarkson of Winterset; five foster grandchildren; 20 foster great grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Weeks of Loveland, Colorado.

Officiating at the funeral this Thursday will be the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur. Burial will be in the Wight cemetery.
