Wednesday, August 12, 1970Funeral At Truro For MRS. MARY McMICHAEL
Funeral services were held this Monday, Aug. 10, from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro for Mary Virginia McMichael, a former resident of St. Charles.
Mrs. McMichael died Aug. 6, 1970 at Madison Manor Nursing Home in Winterset. She was 74 years of age.
A daughter of James and Anna Simpson McKinney, she was born Oct. 20, 1895, in Madison county. She attended schools in this county, and in November of 1912 was married to Thomas Henry McMichael at her parents home near St. Charles.
She had lived in Des Moines since 1943. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are four sons, Vernon of Golden, Colorado, Wilbur of Des Moines, Carl of Truro, and Lloyd of Canon City, Colo.; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Dale McKinney of St. Charles, Sam McKinney of Des Moines, and Floyd McKinney of Patterson; two sisters, Elizabeth Farr of Prole, and Anna Anderson of Globe, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Luther, Ernest and Frank, two half-brothers, John and Jack; and a half-sister, Ella Weib.
Officiating at the funeral Monday was the Rev. Lloyd Miller of St. Charles. Burial was in Blair Chapel cemetery north of St. Charles.
