Death of F. A. Holmes

Frank A. Holmes died on March 1 at the age of 39 years after four years illness from tuberculosis. He spent two years in Oakdale Sanitarium, arriving home last September and since that time has been under the care of his mother, Mrs. C. B. Holmes, living on East Washington street.

Mr. Holmes, a Madison county man, married a Winterset woman, Miss Luella Oller. She and their four children survive him, as do three brothers and a sister. The W.O.W. order attended the funeral services in a body acting as pall bearers. Services were conducted by Rev. W. J. Stewart at the home of Mrs. C. B. Holmes on Sunday afternoon.

Many regrets are felt because of the long suffering and death of Mr. Holmes and his bereaved family will have the sympathy of all who know them.

Obituary

Frank A. Holmes was born February 16, 1880, Madison county, and died at the home of his mother, Mrs. C. B. Holmes Saturday evening, March 1st, after a long illness.

He was married July 5, 1904, to Miss Luella Oller. To this union were born four children Fouletta, Cloyce, Moreen, and Orres.

He is survived by three brothers and once sister, Lester, of Winterset, Walter and Elmer of Heusler, North Dakota, Mrs. Ella Stingeon, Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p. m. by Rev. W. J. Stewart. Madison Camp Woodmen of the World attended in a body.
