MRS. B. N. JEWETT

Myrtle Blanche, daughter of Henry L. and Nancy Brant Kail, was born August 7, 1880 on the Kail farm in Penn Township. She grew up in this neighborhood and became a member of the Earlham Presbyterian church in 1894. Later she worked for a number of years in Des Moines.

She was married September 28, 1912, to Bert N. Jewett at the home of her parents, now the Evans Funeral Home in Earlham. After their marriage they lived for several years in Des Moines and in various other cities throughout the United States where Mr. Jewett’s work took him. In 1934 they moved to Portland, Oregon, where they resided until four years ago when they went to Redondo Beach, California, in order to be closer to their son and daughter. Mrs. Jewett died in Redondo Beach, December 3, 1968.

Survivors besides her husband are her son, Jack and his wife Mary, of Dos Palos, California; her daughter, Nancy Jane, Long Beach, California; one sister, Mrs. C. A. Stanley who made her home with the Jewetts; a sister-in-law, Mrs. E. E. Kail, Payette, Idaho, several nieces and a nephew.

Note: Burial was in the Earlham Cemetery.
