Dwayne A. Holliday, 79, of Nampa, Idaho, died Dec. 4, 2001 at his home.
Funeral services were held at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel in Nampa with Pastor Peggy Lofsvold officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
Dwayne Holliday was born Aug. 3, 1922 to Roy and Oneta (Pierce) Holliday of Chariton. He was educated in the Chariton School District. On Sept. 19, 1942, he married Freda P. Huffman in Princeton, Mo. In 1945, he moved to Pocatello, Idaho, then to Nampa in 1946. Dwayne started working for Union Pacific Railroad in 1942 as a conductor and brakeman after serving in the United States Navy. He retired in 1982.
He was survived by two daughters, Jacque Thiess (husband Russ) of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Vickie Shroll (husband Norman) of Nampa; a sister, Margaret Ford (husband Bob) of Caldwell, Idaho; a sister-in-law, Alberta Holliday of Winterset; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Holliday.
