DR. ELMER KELLER Dies at 76

A retired chiropractor who practiced in Dallas County for 48 years, Dr. Elmer H. Keller, died Saturday, March 6, 1976, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. He had been a resident of Madison County the past 3 1/2 years.

Born April 4, 1899, Dr. Keller was the son of John F. Keller and Jennie V. Burnett Keller. He was born in St. James, Minnesota. His marriage to Verle B. Bennett took place December 15, 1931, in Redfield.

An active participant in civic activities, Dr. Keller was treasurer of the Redfield school board and held numerous positions in his local church prior to moving to Winterset. He was affiliated with the First United Methodist congregation.

Survivors include his wife, Verle B. Keller, a daughter, Beverly (Mrs. Gail E.) Cline of Winterset and a son, Larry E. Keller of Boston, Mass.

Also surviving are three grandchildren and two sisters, Miss Edith Keller of Ackworth, Iowa and Mrs. Bertha Blake of Indianola.

Dr. Keller was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Wilson, Robert and Lester.

Funeral services for Dr. Elmer H. Keller were conducted Tuesday, March 9, at 2:30 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church in Winterset, the Rev. Paul Bousfield and Rev. Walter Samp officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
