Services For VERLE SAWHILL

Verle Dean Sawhill, 58, of rural Peru, died at his home Saturday, March 19, 1977. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 22, at 1:30 p.m., from the United Methodist Church at Truro. Rev. David Wagner officiating.

Mr. Sawhill was born near Peru on January 12, 1919, the son of William Alexander and Mary Ethel Travis Sawhill. He attended country schools. He was never married.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Paul (Bernice) Phillips of Peru, Mildred Schultz of Truro, Mrs. Harold (Vesta) Batten of Carlisle and Mrs. William (Ardys) Whitfield of St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death, by his parents.

Burial following Tuesday's services was made at Ebenezer Cemetery.
