Mable Clague Hamilton, age 85, a resident of Madison County for many years, died March 17, 1977, in a hospital at Georgetown, Texas. She was born near Monmouth, Illinois, June 10, 1891, and came to Iowa with her parents Thomas and Mary Clague before she was one year old.
Mable Clague was married to Rev. B. T. Hamilton May 29, 1922. He preceded her in death about one year ago. Rev. and Mrs. Hamilton served churches in Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska. After their retirement they lived in Winterset and Indianola. Most recently they lived in the Wesleyan Retirement home in Georgetown, Texas.
Survivors are two sons, Arlo Hamilton, Eugene Oregon and Leo Hamilton, Austin, Texas, a daughter, Lois Coffin, Los Alamos, New Mexico, and one brother, Ralph Clague, Winterset. Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and six brothers.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday, March 25, 1977, at 1:30 p.m. at the Worthington Church with burial in the Worthington Cemetery.
