CARL VERT Rites Held At Lorimor

Funeral services were held Feb. 25 from the Watts and Soll Funeral home in Lorimor for Carl C. Vert who died at his home in Winterset Feb. 23, 1964, after a short illness.

Mr. Vert was 77 years of age. He had been in failing health for some times, as result of a heart condition.

He was born Sept. 1, 1886, near Kasson, in Madison county. His early life was spent in that community. He later lived in Des Moines and East St. Louis, Mo. In recent years, his home had been in Winterset.

He leaves two sons, Marshall Vert of Lorimor and Durword Vert of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The Rev. Donald Frank officiated at the funeral services. Burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery.
