MARSHALL VERT, Lorimor

Services for Marshall Vert, 65, Lorimor, who died Aug. 25, 1984, at his home, were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 28 at the Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home with Chuck White officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery and graveside military services were conducted by the Murray American Legion and the VFW at Afton.

Born April 6, 1919 at Creston, he was the son of Carl C. and Goldia Vert. He grew up in the Lorimor area and was a life-long resident.

On Dec. 14, 1938, he was married to Doris Bartmess at Creston. Mr. Vert was a Union County employee and belonged to the VFW in Lorimor. He was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry of Lorimor; a brother, Durward of Des Moines; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
