Susanna Lois Hogue, Winterset

Services for Susanna Lois Hogue, 88, who died Nov. 13 at her home in Winterset, were held Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the Peru Methodist Church with the Rev. Janne Clinton of New Virginia and the Rev. Fred Lehman of Des Moines officiating. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.

Born Dec. 26, 1894 at St. Charles, she was the daughter of Elias and Johanna Gardner Miller. She attended St.Charles schools and lived for a number of years in the Peru area. She married Ernest Clyde Hogue at St. Charles. Mrs. Hogue was a member of the Peru Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, Forrest Wayne Hogue and wife Ann of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, a daughter, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, two brothers and five sisters.
