Page 6GROVER HOGUE DIES AT 76 YEARS
Grover C. Hogue, formerly of Peru, died last Thursday, June 27, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 76 years of age.
Mr. Hogue was born at Peru, Jan. 29, 1892, a son of George W. and Mary Garst Hogue. His early life was spent in that community.
He is survived by a son, Cleve Hogue, who is serving with the U.S. Air Force in Puerto Rico. He also leaves a brother, Clyde Hogue; and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Delong and Mrs. Anna Gilliam.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Kale funeral home in Truro, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was made in the Hartman cemetery.
