Joan "Joni" Machael Hobart, 62, of Prole died Nov. 19, 2004, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Burial was at Montpelier Cemetery in rural Patterson.
Joni Hobart was born Nov. 19, 1942 in Guthrie Center to Ralph and Aryles Louise (Simmer) Jackson Jr. On March 3, 1960, she married Delmar "Butch" Hobart at the Christian Church in Jefferson. Joni worked at Winterset Care Center North for 29 years, holding various positions including assistant administrator and social worker. She was a member of the Winterset Square Dance Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph Junior Jackson.
She is survived by her husband, Delmar of Prole; one daughter, Anne Comer of Winterset; two sons, Mike Hobart of Prole and Byron Hobart of Truro; a sister, Jean Fitz of Fremont, Neb.; four brothers, James Jackson of Marion, Joseph Jackson of Fort Dodge, Andrew Jackson of Omaha, Neb., and Stephen Jackson of Jefferson; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to a fund established in Joni's memory.
