Sharon Hitchcock, Des Moines

Sharon L. Hitchcock, 57, of Des Moines, died of cancer March 26, 1995 at the Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Funeral services were March 28 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens. Burial was at White Oak Cemetery in Elkhart.

She was born in Ames and had lived in Winterset for 15 years. She was a retired word processor and a member of the Capitol City Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, S. R. Stokke, one son, and one brother.

Surviving relatives include her mother, Llewela Ballard of Ames; one daughter, Cheryl Fridl of West Des moines; two sons, Randy Hitchcock of Sergeant Bluff and Merrill Hitchcock of Winterset; two sisters, Marti Clayberg of Ankeny and sister, Pat Firnhaber of Boone; and six grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kavenagh House or the Capitol City Baptist Church.
