Michael A. Hitchcock, 33, of Omaha, Nebr., died Oct. 21, 1994 of a heart condition at his home. Funeral services were today, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. at the Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial was at the White Oak Cemetery near Elkhart.
He lived most of his life in the Winterset and Ankeny area.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Janet Hitchcock of Omaha; one son, Arthur Hitchcock of Omaha; his father, Raymond Hitchcock of Winterset; mother, Sharon Hitchcock of Des Moines; two brothers, Merrill Hitchcock of Winterset and Randy Hitchock of Sioux City; one sister, Cheryl Fridl of Des Moines; two grandmothers, Nellie Racek of Huxley and Lou Ballard of Ames.

Mr. Hitchcock was born in Winterset and moved to Omaha 2 ½ years ago from Ankeny. He was a free-lance photographer and worked for the Tri-County News. He also had been a continuing education instructor at Des Moines Area Community College and a photo exhibit judge at the Iowa State Fair.
Surviving are his wife, Janet; a son, Arthur at home; his father, Raymond Hitchcock of Winterset; his mother, Sharon Stokke of Des Moines; two brothers, Merrill of Winterset and Randy of Sioux City; a sister, Cheryl Fridl of West Des Moines; and his grandmother, Nellie Hitchcock-Racek of Huxley.
