RAY HIRCOCK DIED SATURDAY

Ray Hircock of Winterset died Saturday, Nov. 23, at Memorial hospital in Winterset, at the age of 72 years.

Mr. Hircock was a retired farmer. He had lived most of his life in Madison county.

He was born Oct. 1, 1896, a son of John and Anna Jackson Hircock. He was married in Des Moines, March 19, 1919 to Glee O. Warren. Her death occurred March 23, 1955.

Surviving are five children, Delbert Hircock of Hoquaim, Wash., Bill Hircock of Peru, Mrs. Lester McMains of Des Moines, Mrs. Lyle Day of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Jack Jeffs of Winterset. Two infant sons, Robert and Phillip, preceded him in death.

He also leaves two brothers, Raymond Hircock of Boulder, Colo., and Donald Hircock of Lorimor; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Braby of Boulder, Mrs. Regina Hayden of Lorimor and Mrs. Neita Hampton of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from the First Christian church in Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. William Bowles. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
