Elsie C. Hircock, Winterset

Services for Elsie C. Hircock, 85, Winterset, who died Jan. 7 at the Madison County Memorial hospital were held Wednesday, Jan. 9 at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Zanker officiating. Burial was at the Winterset cemetery.

Born in Winterset on Feb. 9, 1899, she was the daughter of William and Mary Brinson Hircock.

She was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of the First Christian Church. Her usual occupation was working for elderly persons at their homes.

Survivors include two nieces, Esther Rogers of Des Moines and Sarah Gunter of Winterset; and two nephews, Carl and Roger Hircock, both of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and an infant sister.
