Polly Hill, 70, of Des Moines, died Dec. 5, 1994 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. Daryl Pals will officiate the ceremony with burial at the Winterset Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Wed., from noon until 8 p.m. Family visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

She was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Cass County to Otto H. and Bessie Irene (Lawless) Marxen. She married W. D. (Dick) Hill on Nov. 17, 1942. She was a retired clerk and office manager for Madison County ASCS. She had lived in Winterset prior to moving to Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one grandson.

Surviving relatives include one daughter, De Ann (Dee) Todden and husband Jerry of Des Moines; one brother, Maurice (Mike) Marxen and wife Mary of Henderson, Nev.; one grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
