Wednesday, July 10, 1946Mrs. George G. Hulbert, a life-long resident of Madison county, died last Thursday at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines. She was 48 years of age.
Mrs. Hulbert was born near Macksburg on Jan. 19, 1898. She was the former Tuttise Levada Harrison, daughter of James A. and Viola R. Harrison. Her entire life was spent in this county.
She was married Dec. 25, 1914, to George G. Hulbert. They were the parents of seven children, one daughter dying in infancy.
She had been a member of the Oak Grove church since early childhood, but during the past six years she had attended the Foursquare church in Winterset.
She is survived by her husband; her father; five daughters, Mrs. Helen Shehan of Des Moines, Mrs. Mary Kephart of Earlham, Laura Hulbert of Des Moines, Mrs. Evelyn Post of Winterset, and Muriel at home; and one son, George Hulbert, Jr., of Los Angeles, Calif.
She also leaves nine grandchildren; a brother, Henry Harrison of Peru; and five sisters, Mrs. Susie Binns, Mrs. Isadora Mabbitt, Mrs. Daisy Mapes, Mrs. Rosey Simpson, all of Winterset, and Mrs. Lillian Pettit of Creston.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Winterset Foursquare church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Melvin Hansen. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
