KATHLEEN WALCH, Winterset

Kathleen Paige Walch, 83, of Winterset died Aug. 26, 2002, of complications of pneumonia at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Graveside services were held Thursday, Aug. 29, at Sayre Cemetery in Madison County (South Township) with Raymond Nuzum officiating.

Kathleen Walch was born Jan. 3, 1919, in Warren County to Russell A. and Vivian Esther (Rush) Nuzum. She grew up in the St. Charles area. On Dec. 3, 1940, she married Lawrence Walch. Kathleen lived the majority of her adult life in Roseau County, Minn., where she and her husband farmed. She moved back to Winterset one and one-half years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and a sister.

She is survived by a brother, Raymond Nuzum of Winterset; and five sisters, Mary Michaels of Des Moines, Marge Johnson (husband Harland) of Thompson, Corleen Hayden (husband Merrill) of St. Charles, Charlotte Rognehaugh (husband Emery) of Forest City and Carolyn Taylor (husband Larry) of Solon.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
