Jessie Hiatt, Winterset

Jessie A. Hiatt was born December 23, 1889 at Truro, and died March 16, 1983 at the Care Center North in Winterset, at the age of 93 years.

She attended school at Truro and was a member of the Christian Church there as well as the Social Sals and Thursday Girls.

She was united in marriage April 11, 1907 to Elijah Wayne Hiatt. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963.

She is survived by two sons; Dwight Hiatt of Truro and Gerald Dean Hiatt of Des Moines. Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Interment was in Hartman Cemetery, Truro, with Rev. Gayle Strickler officiating.

Jessie A. Hiatt

Jessie A. Hiatt was born December 23, 1889 at Truro, Iowa and departed this life March 16, 1983 at the Care Center North in Winterset, Iowa at the age of 93 years, two months and 23 days.

She attended school at Truro and was a member of the Christian Church there as well as the Social Sals and Thursday Girls.

She was united in marriage April 11, 1907 to Elijah Wayne Hiatt and to this union two sons were born, Dwight and Gerald.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Dwight Hiatt and wife, Helen of Truro and Gerald Dean Hiatt and wife, Nancy of Des Moines; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Interment was in Hartman Cemetery, Truro. The Rev. Gayle Strickler of New Virginia officiated.

Jessie A. Hiatt Dies Wednesday

Jessie A. Hiatt former resident of Truro, died Wednesday March 16, at the Care Center North in Winterset, Iowa. Services were held Saturday, March 19 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Gayle Strickler of New Virginia officiating the 11 a.m. rites. Interment was in the Hartman Cemetery.

Jessie A. Hiatt was born December 23, 1889 in Truro, Iowa. She attended the Truro Schools and married Elijah Wayne Hiatt on April 11, 1907. She was a member of the Sociable Sal’s Thursday Girls and the Truro Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Dwight Hiatt and wife Helen of Truro, Gerald Dean Hiatt and wife Nancy of Des Moines, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
