VERVEL HESTER OF WINTERSET DIES

Miss Vervel Hester of Winterset died Friday, Dec. 31, at Memorial Hospital in Winterset, at the age of 66 years.

Miss Hester was a native of Dallas county, where she was born March 31, 1899, a daughter of Otho and Mae Piercy Hester. The last 55 years of her life was spent as a resident of Madison county. She was a member of the United Brethren church.

Her parents and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Chase, preceded her in death. Nearest surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Merle Penn of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. H. E. Borum of the First Baptist Church of Winterset. Burial was made in Panther Creek cemetery west of Adel.
