WILLIAM STRONG

William Strong, son of William and Mary Strong, was born in Madison county near Winterset, October 9, 1888 and died Monday, October 18 in Des Moines, at the age of 55 years and nine days.

He moved with his family to Earlham in 1896 and made this his home until he moved to Des Moines several years ago, which has since been his home.

He was never married and leaves to mourn his passing, three brothers, Charles B. of Minto (Minot), North Dakota; Elvin of Stuart, and Albert of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Kessner, of Chicago, Illinois, and Mrs. Clyde Reed of Des Moines, being preceded in death by his father, mother, older brothers James and Elvie.

He was a veteran of World War no. 1.

He was employed several years for the Des Moines sawmill company and in later years poor health hindered his steady employment.

Funeral services were held at the Welch undertaking parlors conducted by Rev. S. R. Overholser and burial in the Earlham cemetery.
