Wednesday, August 31, 1921Death of JOHN WALTMAN
John Waltman, a resident of Macksburg for fifteen or more years, died at the Winterset hospital, on Sunday morning, aged 53 years. Mr. Waltman had not been in good health for several years. While visiting here at the home of his stepdaughter, Mrs. Guy Wallace, he was taken with acute pain, resulting from several complications and an operation seemed to be his only chance for relief, and a small chance at that.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Macksburg, burial following in the Creston cemetery.
Mrs. Waltman survives as do his stepson and stepdaughter.
