SERVICES AT MINDEN FOR MRS. HESLEY

Mrs. Elizabeth Hesley of Minden, who had visited here a number of times at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Fletcher of Jefferson township, died Friday, September 9th, at the Council Bluffs hospital, where she had undergone surgery for a leg injury. Mrs. Hesley who was 85 years of age, had always resided in Minden, and had been in apparent good health, until she had a fall, August 31st and was taken to the hospital.

In addition to the daughter, Mary Beth Fletcher, she is survived by two sons, Dr. M. Hesley and Ralph Hesley, both of Minden and four grandchildren. The husband and father Fred Hesley died in 1941.

Her funeral services were held in the Congregational church at Minden, Monday, September 12th and burial was in the cemetery there.

Those driving over for the services were Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Fletcher, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gallery. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Fletcher were in Tuscon, Arizona visiting their daughter, Miss Diane, when they received word of the mother's injury and Mrs. Fletcher flew back to be with her mother, with Mr. Fletcher driving back later.
