A. Cornelia "Nelia" Heskett, 75, of Van Meter died of a ruptured aneurysm Monday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Heskett was born in Adair County and had lived in Van Meter since 1945. She had been a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Priscilla Club and Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest; four daughters, Katherine Collins of Newton, Anna Belle Sheets and Rosalie Baker, both of Des Moines and Hannah Coney of Ames; a son, John Gronwold of Van Meter; a stepson, Gene Heskett of West Virginia; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home, Van Meter, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
