Wesley Charles (Hap) Hermon, 74, of West Des Moines, died Thursday, Nov. 5 at North West Community Hospital of a heart ailment. He was the son of the late Charles and Grace (DeBord) Hermon of Winterset.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 7, at McLarin's Resthaven Chapel, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
A West Des Moines resident since 1940, Mr. Hermon was born in Madison County. He was a retired equipment repairman for Penn-Dixie Cement Co. He was a member of the West Des Moines Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife Bertha; two sons, Richard of Minneapolis, Minn. and Don of West Des Moines; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Rhodes, Dora Hulbert and Betty Hermon of Winterset and Virginia Noennick of Glendale, Calif.; and one brother, Edward Hermon of Winterset.
