Ross Hermon, (95) died Wed. Oct. 6, 1993 in Waukegan, Ill. Services were held at the Strang Funeral Chapel in Grayslake, Ill. Burial was at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago.

He was born Sept. 12, 1898 in Winterset to James and Mary Jane Smith Hermon. He was married to Velma Osborn and lived in Creston until moving to Grayslake, Ill. area where he worked for the Quaker Oats Co. until he retired. He also worked for the Roud Camp for boys.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

Surviving relatives are a son, Larry Gene and wife of Grayslake; three daughters, Rosemary Schrauger of Tigard, Ors., Evelyn Edgar and husband of Colorado Springs, Colo., Marilyn Milinac of McHenry, Ill.; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
