FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Elvert Hermon, a native of this community and member of a formerly well-known family here, died in mid-November at his home in Long Beach, Calif., where he had lived for many years.

Mr. Hermon was a son of Ezra and Emmerette Hermon and was born near Winterset July 26, 1891. He lived for many years in Omaha, Nebr., where he operated a toy factory.

He is survived by his wife; and two children, Elvert, Jr., and Berry. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Sula Poland of Winterset, and Mrs. Ethel Holmes of California.
