Manera Opal Heath, the daughter of Jasper William and Agnes Payne Robinett, was born at Rolla, Missouri on April 19, 1913 and died at the Creston Manor Care Center in Creston, on February 21, at the age of 75, 10 months and 2 days.
She was united in marriage to Robert Washington Austin in Missouri on October 23, 1938 in a double ceremony at which her brother Archie and Norma Williams were also married. Robert (Bob) was struck by lightning and died August 4, 1944 at his brother's home near Lorimor. Two children were born to them, Carol Louise and Steven Robert. Manera remarried at Gowrie, Iowa on November 20, 1948, to Albert Hiram Heath, widower of Ferne Tague Heath and father of Betty Lou and Robert Eugene.
Before her first marriage, Manera had one summer term at Iowa State Teacher's College, taught school for 6 years and was a maid for 16 months. In 1958, she and Albert and family moved to the Thayer community and lived their until 1976 when she and Albert moved to Winterset. During their years at Thayer their lives were enriched by several foster children. Since a few months after Albert's death which occurred on December 5, 1986, she had resided at the Creston Manor Care Center in Creston. Manera was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset.
She is survived by her four children, Mrs. Dean (Betty Lou) Johnston of Creston, Mrs. Earl (Carol) Johnson of Monument, Colorado, Robert Heath of Cedar Rapids, and Steven Heath of Clovis, New Mexico; one sister, Mrs. Vera Lord of Perry, and one brother, Harold Robinett of Winterset; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a sister Iwone M. Robinett Hartman and a brother, Eldon Archie Robinett.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25 at the First Baptist Church in Creston with Pastor Ronald Schrock officiating. Burial was in the Lorimor Cemetery.
