EDNA CADE WALTZ, Sun City West, Ariz.

Edna Cade Waltz, died of a heart attack Fri., May 1 at Del Webb Hospital, Sun City West, Ariz. Funeral services are being held Wed., May 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Van Meter, with the Rev. Kenneth Belz officiating.

She was born December 8, 1916 in Madison County to Fred V. and Eliza (Backus) Cade and married Robert E. Waltz on October 16, 1937 in Madison County. She lived in Madison County until 1950 and then lived in Burlington, Denver, Colo., Jamestown, N.D., Aberdeen, S.D., Albuquerque, N.M., Kansas City, Mo., Salt Lake City, Utah and Sun City West, Ariz. She was a retired federal employee, having worked for Emloyment Securities and The Bureau of Indian Affairs in South Dakota and for Social Security in Kansas City Mo., retiring in 1979. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.

Surviving are a son, Richard and wife, Holly, of Groton, Mass.; a daughter, Linda Jones and husband, Marvin, of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister, Gladys Jensen and husband, Robert, of Winterset; a brother-in-law, Rex Wiegand of Sun City West, Ariz.; three sister-in-laws, Frances and Clella Cade, both of Winterset and Helen Waltz of Runnells; and six grandchildren.

Burial will be at the Trinity Lutheran church cemetery.

A funeral service was held for Edna Cade Woltz of Sun City West, Ariz. on Wednesday afternoon at the Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the Trinity Cemetery. Pastor Kenneth Belz officiated. Edna died of a heart attack in Arizona last Friday. She was 75.

She was born in Madison County where she lived until 1950. She was a retired Federal employee having worked with the Employment Securities, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Social Security Administration.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Jones of Salt Lake City, Utah; a son, Richard Woltz of Groton, Mass.; a sister, Gladys Jensen of Winterset and six grandchildren. Sisters-in-law Frances Cade and Clella Cade of Winterset also survive.
