Bernal L. Haynes, Winterset

Services for Bernal L. Haynes, 77, Winterset, who died February 2 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Mon, Feb. 5 at the St. Charles Parish Church with the Rev. Tom Webster officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Born in St. Charles on Jan. 24, 1913, he was the son of Roy and Gladys Robinette Haynes. He attended St. Charles schools and was married November 16, 1941 to Mamie Hight. He had been a clerk at Brittain's Standard Parts and was a lifetime resident of St. Charles. He had spent the past three years at a Winterset care center.

Mr. Haynes was a member of the Winterset American Legion.

Survivors include a son, Larry and wife Linda of Indianola; a daughter, Patricia McDonald and husband Jerry of St. Charles; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
