Esther Haymond Died Wednesday

Mrs. Carl Haymond of Webster township died last Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Madison Manor South in Winterset. She was 81 years of age.

Mrs. Haymond was a life-long resident of Madison county. She was the former Esther M. Huffman, daughter of George W. and Nancy Duffield Huffman. She was born in Webster township Dec. 25, 1891. She was married to Carl Haymond in Winterset on Feb. 23, 1913.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Wesley Chapel church. She was active in the Rebekah lodge at Macksburg and the Friendly Neighbor Garden Club.

Surviving are her husband, Carl Haymond; three sons, Chester, Rex and Merle Haymond, all of near Winterset; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Klingaman of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Willis Grant. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
