EDITH HAYMOND DIES AT 83 YEARS

Life-Long Resident of This Community Had Been in Failing Health

Mrs. Edith L. Haymond, life-long resident of the Winterset community, died last Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Memorial hospital in Winterset after an extended illness. She was 83 years of age.

Mrs. Haymond was born at Winterset April 19, 1880, a daughter of William and Lydia A. Underwood Kipp. She was married Dec. 28, 1904 to George Haymond, who was a Winterset business man for many years. His death occurred in 1943.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joe Egy, Mrs. Hugh Welch and Mrs. Ray Egy, all of Winterset; three sons, Eugene Haymond of Winterset, Lloyd Haymond of Hermiston, Ore., and Woodrow Haymond of El Cerrito, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Lewis E. Lint of Libertyville. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
