HAROLD WAY, Former Resident Dies in Washington

Harold C. Way, former Wintersest resident, who has been residing in Washington, D.C., collapsed last Thursday, while attending to matters of business, and was pronounced dead at Emergency hospital, where he was taken. The cause of Mr. Way's death was given as coronary occlusion.

Mr. Way, who was 50 years of age, was a native of Winterset, being a son of the late J. A. and Georgia Way. His parents were former St. Charles residents and while in Winterset Mr. Way was a county auditor. The family left here when Harold was a boy.

He was a salesman for the Prudential Life Insurance Co. of Omaha, Nebr., before moving to Washington in 1944. In Washington he continued in the insurance business, but had been employed by the Postoffice until he resigned because of poor health. He was an active member of the Washington Philatelic society.

Survivors are his wife, Amanda I. Way, his mother, Mrs. Georgia Way and two brothers, Howard and Herbert, all of Los Angeles, California.

Funeral and burial services were held at St. Charles, Tuesday, April 7th.
