A memorial service was held in St. Charles for Amanda Anderson Way, a former resident of St. Charles who died March 30 in Washington, D.C.
Born in St. Charles in 1903, she was the daughter of Hugh and Anna Irwin Anderson.
She was a teacher and later was employed by the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; and two brothers.
Survivors include two brothers, Gerald of St. Charles and Robert of Chariton; and a sister, Margaret Strate of Washington, D.C.
