WATSON SERVICES HELD TUESDAY

Funeral services for M. Bernerd Watson were held Tuesday, July 21, 1981, at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Mr. Watson died July 17 of pneumonia at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He was 73 years old.

Born and raised in Clarke County, he farmed in Madison County until moving to Des Moines. He was then employed by Kenedy and Co. Ceiling Tile until he retired in 1973.

Survivors include his wife, Lena; a son, Gary, of Winterset; three daughters, Karen Kelly of Dallas, Texas, Sharon Thornton of Greenville, Texas, and Connie Hall of Des Moines; a brother, Gerald, of Osceola; a sister, Gladys Evans, of Osceola; and 16 grandchildren.

Burial was at Chapel Hill Gardens in Des Moines.
