HAROLD WARD, Winterset

Harold "Bud" Raymond Ward, 78, died of a heart ailment Sept. 13, 2002, at Winterset Care Center North.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Terry Kerr officiating. Burial was at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Bud Ward was born June 24, 1924, in Union Cunty to Roy and Nettie (Gossmeyer) Ward. A retired farmer, Bud also had worked at the Winterset Co-op as a feed truck driver. He had resided in western Polk County until age 45, then moved to Madison County where he lived the remainder of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and a sister. He is survived by a nephew, Art Jamison of Winterset; a great-nephew; and two great-nieces.
