CHARMAINE WARD, Pleasant Hill

Charmaine A. Ward, 72, of Pleasant Hill died of congestive heart failure Dec. 1, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Memorial services were held Friday, Dec. 6, at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. a private family burial of the cremains will be at a later date.

Charmaine Ward was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Winterset to Emerald and Lena (Senn) Pullman. A resident of the Des Moines and Pleasant Hill areas for many years, she had been a food service clerk at Pleasant Hill Elementary School, retiring in 1992.

She is survived by her husband, George E. Ward, of Pleasant Hill; two sons, Bob Stanley of Altoona and Dave Stanley of Des Moines; a daughter, Kim Ward of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Sylvia Benson of Winterset; a grandson; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
