Robert "Bob" Harvey, 78 of Booneville died of chronic lung disease Nov. 24, 2000 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Booneville Cemetery, with Pastor Lane Riggle officiating.
Bob Harvey was born July 16, 1922, to Reece and Myrtle (Smith) Harvey of rural Perry. A United State Army veteran of World War II, he married Darlene Forret on May 18, 1945. Bob was employed by Hy-Line Poultry, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and the American Legion, both in Adel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers and a sister.
He is survived by two sons, Jim Harvey (wife Sheryl) of Van Meter and Bruce Harvey (wife Nancy) of Anderson, Mo.; a brother, Henry "Duke" Harvey (wife Hazel) of Waukee; two sisters, Dora Allen and Dorothy Allen (husband DeLois "Mutt"), both of Booneville; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Booneville United Methodist Church.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
