Darlene Harvey, 74, of Booneville, died from A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig's disease) Aug. 14, 1998 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday Aug. 17, at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel. Burial was at Booneville Cemetery.

Darlene Harvey was born Feb. 8, 1924, at Booneville to George and Anne Forret. She married Robert A. Harvey on May 18, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church, located south of Van Meter. Darlene, a homemaker, was a lifelong Booneville resident. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Jimmy of Van Meter and Bruce of Anderson, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa of Winterset.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Fisher Funeral Home in Adel.
