Funeral services were held Monday, February 11, for William Lee Harrell of Winterset, who died at Madison County Memorial Hospital here last Friday, February 8. He was 74 years of age.
Mr. Harrell was a lifetime resident of Madison County, born here on March 22, 1899. He was the son of Edgar and Etta Hircock Harrell. On April 14, 1917, he was married to Daisy Fern Landers in Madison County.
Mr. Harrell was a retired farmer. He was a resident of North Ward Plaza in Winterset prior to his death.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy of Winterset; and by two sons, Billie Lee Harrell of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Perry Paul Harrell of Des Moines. Other survivors include one brother, Glen Harrell of Oregon; and three sisters, Mrs. Myra Newton of Winterset and Mrs. Flo McDonald and Mrs. Mary Gordon, both of Oregon. Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 11 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. E. E. Jandebeur presiding. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
